NMDP Council MeetingAs the hub of a worldwide Network of more than 500 leading medical facilities in marrow and blood cell transplantation, the NMDP facilitates more than 260 marrow or blood cell transplants each month. Each year we invite the Network members with whom we work so closely as well as other interested individuals to attend our annual Council Meeting, a dynamic educational event where attendees gain essential training and education on advances in unrelated hematopoietic blood cell transplant. This meeting offers a series of lecture and workshop sessions designed specifically for individuals representing transplant centers, donor centers, apheresis centers, collection centers, cooperative registries, recruitment groups and cord blood banks. Topics address clinical and scientific advances, operational efficiencies and psychosocial considerations for both donors and recipients. As part of our commitment to our mission to extend and improve lives through innovative cellular transplant therapies, the NMDP sponsors one individual from each of our Network centers to attend the Council Meeting each year - What is a sponsored attendee?
